Feel free to visit the city of Avignon, only 20 minutes from our venue! Avignon is the "City of Popes," as from 1309 to 1376, it was the heart of the Catholic Church, leading to the construction of the magnificent Palais des Papes. During our time here, we visited the Palace and learned about the vast history of the papal legacy. It is a great experience even for non-catholic believers! We encourage our guests to visit and explore the city!
We were lucky enough to visit this beautiful experience. Nested inside this old quarry, you can experience an immersive and interactive art exhibition, which we highly recommend! You may need a jacket or something to keep you warm as it may be a little chilly!
For all our small town explorers, we highly recommend Saint Rémy de Provence. This town offers a blend of ancient history and artistic inspiration. You can explore the Roman ruins of Glanum, dating back to the 6th century BC, or walk in the footsteps of Vincent van Gogh at the Saint-Paul de Mausole monastery, where he created many masterpieces. Explore the charming streets and shop at the local artisanal stores!
For our family and friends who love boutique shopping or have a sweet tooth, we recommend visiting this cute town. Often called the "Venice of Provence," L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a picturesque island town woven with canals and historic waterwheels. It's renowned as one of Europe's largest antique and flea markets. For a unique experience, consider kayaking on the clear Sorgue River! The water is so clear that we wanted to jump in it!
If you want to see the origin of the clear water from L'Isle sur la Sorgue, visit the Fontaine de Vaucluse, France's largest natural spring, emerging dramatically from a towering cliff. Wander along the clear Sorgue River, explore artisanal shops (like the historic paper mill!), and visit the Petrarch Museum. Enjoy the tranquil beauty and mysterious allure of this unique Provençal gem. We had such a tranquil time here and really connected with nature, also you may seem some baby ducks!
