The couple met through Kris's Aunt Heather (who the couples owes all the credit to for their happily ever after), who worked with Raven at the courthouse in Taylor County. After sharing an office for several months, Heather told Raven she had a nephew that she thought she would really like! Heather went to Summersville, WV, for Memorial Day and Kris was there for the family shindig. She told him she had this girl from Grafton she really wanted Kris to meet! (Those Grafton girls will getcha!) BUT, Raven never did hear from Kris. He is a stubborn fella. Raven ended up getting ahold of Kris one day after some persuasion from a co-worker and after a week or so of talking, Kris asked if he could come and take her to dinner. Raven agreed to go on a date with Kris, and the two spent a couple hours at dinner together and continued the evening over drinks at a nearby bar. Kris and Raven made time to see each other again, and if you know them, their schedules don't allot for much free time! After about two weeks of weeknight dinners living two hours apart, the two started going to each other's hometowns on the weekends, and haven't spent a weekend without each other since. It has been a true life fairytale falling in love on backwoods trails and spending late nights becoming each other's best friends.
