When should I RSVP by?

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive by 3:30pm to allow for parking and seating. The ceremony will start at 4pm.

What is the address and where should I park?

Answer

Ceremony and reception are being held at the MN Renaissance Festival. The address is 3525 145th Street W, Shakopee, MN 55379. Please follow signs to parking near the King's Gate.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We highly encourage you to dress in fantasy/medieval/renaissance finery! Otherwise semi-formal is acceptable. Please note that the ceremony will be outdoors, so be mindful of your footwear choice. Can I wear a sword?

Answer

Swords and daggers are allowed to be worn if peace-tied and kept in scabbard at all times. Foam or plastic props are allowed, but no play fighting. Axes, maces, flails or firearms of any kind (including foam or plastic) are NOT allowed on grounds.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love and cherish all the kids in our lives, due to limited space, we kindly request that our wedding be an adult-only celebration. (However, we do have a special exception for the best man and his cousin.) We appreciate your understanding.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that you bring a guest only if your invitation includes a plus-one.

Are there any other events that I should know about?

Answer

Thursday 6/12/2025 there will be an informal Welcome Event at O'Brien's Public House in Shakopee starting at 7pm. There is no pressure to attend but we would love to see you if you're around. Please RSVP if you do plan to attend so we can give the venue a heads up on numbers. We kindly ask that guests cover their own food and drink costs at this event.
