Oak Glen is located 120 miles from Downtown San Diego, 85 miles from Laguna Niguel, and 65 miles from Victorville in the San Bernardino Mountains.
You'll see two large signs that say Homestead and our names underneath it. Turn onto that road. The venue is located between Riley's Farm and The Old School House.
There is a parking lot located on site. Just follow the sign when turning into the property for the guest parking. All the parking is good, there are two handicap spots for those that need it.
There's no gas station in Oak Glen. The closest gas station is 6 miles away. Please fill up before joining us.
I'm sure they're lovely places but the road leading in and out of the Big Bear area is long and winding. We recommend staying at one of the places listed on our travel page if you need a hotel.
It all started with awful parking. Kyle's aunt Holly, a family friend of Kristen's, suggested the two meet and picked the spot: San Diego's Old Town. As always, Kyle got there early. Kristen was right on time, except she couldn't find parking! 10 minutes in and she was ready to call it quits. But a well-timed text from Kyle heroically directed Kristen to a parking lot. Turned out the spot she found wasn't the one he directed her to, but it's the thought that counts. Now 20 minutes late, Kristen was further delayed by an old lady attempting to use the only parking machine. After even more time spent, Kristen finally walked across to meet Kyle. There he was. They glanced at each other and they just knew. They spent the next hour talking about school and walking in circles. Kyle ended the date saying, "Ok, I'm going to go now." Kristen looked at him and said, "Do you want to see each other again?" Kyle said, "really? You want to see me?" The rest is history.* *ask Kyle for his version.
