The story of how Kris and I met will depend on which one of us you ask. Kris will say that the first time we met was at the late night pizza place on Bryant's campus where I was more interested in eating my BBQ chicken pizza than engaging in conversation.. But I'm going to tell my story, the REAL story of when we first met. It was the first week back at Bryant after Christmas break and both of our friend groups were going to the local bar, Rentes, near campus. One of our mutual friends introduced us to each other (although I already knew who he was and secretly had a crush on him...) and we hit it off. At the end of the night, Kris actually got down on one knee and "proposed" with a beer in his hand asking for my number. My friend caught a picture of this proposal, which has unfortunately been lost since, but it's a memory I'll never forget. Looking back, it's crazy to think of how much we've been through together since that night 8 years ago. I couldn't imagine doing life with anyone else and I'm so excited to be his wife. -Katrina
I knew the perfect proposal for Katrina needed to include her two favorite things: Long Island and Wine. I called in her two siblings Donny (plus Erica!) and Victoria to make this day even more special. During our secret conference calls to discuss which vineyard and how would we convince Katrina this wasn't set up, we devised a plan. Little did Katrina know when she picked Kontokosta Winery, she was planning out the location of her proposal. Leading up to the big day, the Krause's family friend Thomas graciously accepted the role of the covert photographer. We had maps with X marks where Thomas would be hiding to capture the moment. The day was here and nerves were at an all time (for me at least). When we first got into the car Katrina asked not once, but twice, to play the song "Big Big Plans." This song was written about a secret proposal and all of us in the car thought our cover was blown, but really was just an ironic coincidence. All of the plans were falling into place as we were almost at the exact spot, except one thing, Katrina didn't want to put down her wine glass....After some peer pressure to convince her to leave it, we broke off on our own. She said "Yes" and the moment was better then we could have ever imagined. - Kris
