We met as 3rd graders in Elementary school. We used to share honeysuckles on our walks home from school. We played together, rode bikes together, and went to parties together. We lost touch as we aged, but never forgot one another.
We never forgot one another over the years (approximately 20 years). We reconnected on an app and promptly began catching up via phone. After hours of talking, we set a first date. We had an amazing and fun first date filled with shooting at the firing range and drinks and dinner on the inlet. We had great conversation that was so easy and comfortable no matter the topic. We had our first kiss and were smitten. We ultimately decided to move in together. We bought our first home together in June 2019 and we LOVE it. We have enjoyed making this home the perfect home for us.
We were headed to church and Kris determined that coincidentally Heather's parents and her sister's family would be at church as well (everyone in one place at one time is a rare occasion). We had previously decided that we would take pictures of our family after church. After church while amidst the chaos of taking family photos at the seawall, time stopped. With the children beside him and the rest of the family present looking on, Kris got down on one knee and presented a most unique and beautiful ring while asking for Heather's hand in marriage.
We look forward to an oceanside ceremony a favorite beach spot known as Naked Lady Beach in Murrells Inlet, SC.
