What started as a fun weekend getaway turned into a trip that would change our lives. Kris surprised me with a trip to St. Simons Island for the Labor Day weekend. We stayed at the gorgeous Ocean Lodge, and enjoyed the weather and spending precious time together. Right before dinner, he asked me to join him on the balcony, where he had “our” song playing on repeat. On the table between two rocking chairs were two glasses of our favorite champagne, and in between that – a little green box with the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen. Saying yes was the easiest thing I’ve ever done!
