Kristian and Carliette met in the Summer of 2011, before their 8th-grade year at East Naples Middle School in Naples, Florida. Carliette was getting ready to attend a high school football game with one of her friends that night. As she was leaving her house for the game, she coincidently ran into Kristian and his friends. Kristian had just moved from Hollywood, FL and would be attending the same middle school as Carliette. They talked, exchanged numbers, and really the rest was history. Initially Carliette did not like Kristian at all (lol). Carliette was always very quiet, observant, and needless to say a bit uptight. Kristian was loud, outgoing, and basically always the life of the party. Somehow both of them could not seem to stay away from each other, and soon they began dating. After middle school came to an end, they attended different high schools and broke up as a result. Kristian says that he always knew that somehow they would end up together again. Carliette says she thought about Kristian everyday for most of freshman year. One year later, Kristian reached out on Facebook. They went on one date and immediately began dating again, picking up as if they had never been apart. The following year Kristian decided to transfer to Carliette’s high school. They ended up graduating together from that high school, and soon after moved to Tampa, FL for college. Kristian always supported Carliette in everything she did, and when she decided to attend law school in Fort Lauderdale, FL, he was there for her every step of the way. On February 15th, 2020, while flying over Daytona Beach in a private aircraft, Kristian proposed to Carliette, speaking through the aviation headset. Kristian and Carliette had the unique opportunity to grow up together; to see each other change, mature, and to be one another’s support system. What was once puppy love quickly turned into a serious relationship, and while most people tend to outgrow the friendships and relationships they make in their teenage years, Kristian and Carliette were always each other’s constant. They truly believe they bring out the best in each other, that they have learned what true unconditional love is, and are very excited to be able to share their happiness with their closest friends and family at their upcoming wedding this December.
