We swiped right on JSwipe. Matt asked Jamie out to dinner. She said drinks. Matt didn’t want to meet too early so he suggested 7:30. Jamie laughed and said she can maybe make it by 8. So naturally Matt got to the restaurant at 7:20 so he could get an outdoor table overlooking Rittenhouse Park. Jamie showed up at 8:15, which was perfect because Matt just started his second drink. We don’t remember what we talked about, but the conversation and banter flowed effortlessly. Jamie laughed at all of Matt’s jokes, so he had a great time. Matt wasn’t a creepy weirdo, so Jamie had a great date too. While Matt was trying to play it cool the next day, when he received a text from Jamie, he shot up from his office chair and fist-pumped. After a little back and forth, Matt asked Jamie out for a second date: “wine and cheese or pool and beer?” Pool and beer, she said! Eventually, Matt stopped visiting his apartment, fell in love with Lucy (Jamie’s cat), and has slowly learned that he would forever be dominated on the ski slopes. Jamie developed a knack for board games, quickly became an Eagles fan, and now is one of those people that shows up early (okay, actually on time, or only five minutes late). A year or so later, the two moved to NYC, started new jobs, and began the rest of their lives together.
