We met in March of 2021, when we both decided to take a chance and swipe right on Bumble ;) It didn't take too long before text messaging turned into phone calls, and phone calls turned into video calls. A month later, we decided to meet at a local Tim Hortons. Our interactions and conversations flowed and we just "clicked". We decided to continue the date with a stop to Target (of course?!) and dinner in Buffalo. They say when you know, you know and within a week, we knew we wanted to make things official. On April 24, 2021, John asked Taylor to officially be his girlfriend :)

John planned a weekend getaway to a very special place, Lighthouse Christian Camp in Barker, NY. John grew up visiting every summer with his family. We stayed the night in an adorable, lakefront cottage overlooking Lake Ontario with John's parents. Saturday morning, began the day filled with events John knew Taylor would love! Eggs benedict (shout out to BK) & coffee for breakfast, followed by a morning kayak with Mr. & Mrs. K :) In the afternoon we played some rounds of pickleball. For dinner, Taylor's mom came to the lake and we all enjoyed some surf and turf. After dinner, Momma K suggested a sunset walk by the water where John said "Tay, let's get our picture by that rock", then John got on one knee, popped the question, to which Taylor responded "of course!". To think the day couldn't get any better, we ended the night star-gazing under an unforgettable meteor shower! John's proposal was truly perfect.
