One simple prompt on a dating app generated the spark that led to Maggie and Pat falling in love by uncovering their mutual love for the same sport (despite their respective passions for each other's hated rival). Maggie's response - "you like baseball" - along with her beautiful smile intrigued Pat and there was only one way for him to respond; "Hi Maggie. I like baseball, too." That first message led to them getting to know each other and eventually agreeing to meet at Ashland Hill on Main St. in Santa Monica for a drink. After Maggie name dropped J.T. Snow (long-time Giants first baseman) on that first date in mid-July, Pat knew that she was special. Their romance grew steadily throughout the remainder of the 2021 baseball season, which saw the Giants win 107 regular season games (a franchise record) only to be beaten by the Dodgers (106 regular season wins) in the National League Division Series - the first time the two had ever faced off in the post season. It was all meant to be... In just over two years since that introduction, Maggie and Pat have brought their lives together in love, commitment, and shared bonds between each other and their family and friends. They are dog parents to Emma and Winston, aunt and uncle to their nieces and nephews, new home owners, and they continue to support their favorite teams. They couldn’t be more excited to officially start their married lives together and they can't wait to celebrate with everyone on December 16th!
