2010: After going to high school together, we reconnected at a party over the summer while we were both home from college. We clicked, and decided to give our summer fling a real shot. Despite attending separate colleges over 300 miles away from each other, we would video chat (dating ourselves, here) every day, travel to see each other at school every month, and always reunite when we were home for the holidays. This continued for 3 years, until we both graduated college. 2013: Austin had been working for Amazon in Allentown, PA and Michelle was finally back in New York, attending culinary school. We had to continue our long distance relationship, although now we were only about 90 miles away from each other. Austin would drive from Allentown to New York almost every weekend, so that we could be together. Compared to college, this felt like a breeze! 2015: Austin was transferred back to New York from Allentown, and we could now offically live in the same state!! We lived one block away from each other (.2 miles away), and quickly decided we wanted to live 0 miles away from each other, AKA, live in the same apartment. 2016: We moved to the Upper West Side (best side) and were really able to start our life together. Dream = reality! March 2, 2018: Austin came to Michelle's work and surprised her during a Facebook Live video. He got down on one knee and Michelle said 'is this reality?' (this is all on video, in case you would like to see awkward weeping). The rest is history and we CANNOT wait for our next chapter. Here's to making long distance work, and many more years of living 0 miles away!
