It all started when a boy from Washington met a girl from Colorado at a work event in San Francisco in 2019. They hit it off right away, but the timing wasn't quite right. The following summer, one late-night Instagram video call (thanks to Luke's steadfast refusal to own an iPhone) turned into an all-night conversation that lasted until 6 a.m.—and they haven't really stopped talking since.
