It was at an OSAA High School Cheerleading Competition of Deleena's senior year in high school when Jacob and Deleena first met. He was working at the Beaver Cheer recruitment table and Deleena was visiting the table to get information on clinic dates. After attending a few clinics for Beaver Cheer, Jake and D formed a light-hearted friendship that would soon reveal itself to be the entangled destiny they were meant to share all along.

Jake and D dated and lived together through their college years, sharing incredible memories as teammates, co-captains, coworkers, and partners in life. They endured all the change that life inevitably brings and grew so much together.

On a bright October morning, Jacob and Deleena went to take pictures with their beloved photographer, Nicole Briann, at the site of their first photos together in 2018 at Chip Ross. As they reached the top, the sun was warm and bright. The fog rolled through the hills below them. It was a breathtaking moment as Jacob knelt to the ground and asked her to marry him.
