FAQs

Question

What is required to access the venue?

Answer

As the venue is located on the Naval Base Point Loma, all guests over the age of 18 who do not already have base access must complete a vetting process to receive a temporary access pass. As a note, non-U.S. citizens will be asked to provide passport information during this process. Guests under age 18 are not required to complete this process but must be accompanied by an adult onto base.

Question

How can guests begin the vetting process?

Answer

Please see the page included in your invitation for instructions on how to begin the vetting process. You may also reach out to the bride and groom by email at c.i.krause.wedding@gmail.com with any questions or issues.

Question

How can guests without base access receive their temporary pass?

Answer

As physical passes are required and neither photos of the physical pass nor virtual passes are accepted to enter base, passes can either be picked up in advance of the event by coordinating with the bride or groom or will be handed out outside of the base access point in the hours prior to the ceremony.

Question

How should we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP using the RSVP tab on this website; the search function can be used by searching the full name of any member of the invited party. We ask that you complete both the RSVP and associated vetting process for base access by June 25th

Question

By when do guests need to complete the vetting process and update their rsvp with the 6-digit code?

Answer

We ask that you please update your rsvp to reflect the 6-digit code (and passport expiration date for foreign citizens) received upon completing the vetting process by June 25th to give sufficient time for coordination with base security prior to the event.

Question

What transportation options are there for getting to and from the venue?

Answer

While some Ubers can enter base, this is only the case if the uber driver is vetted or already has access; as a result this option is limited and may take significant time. Guests with temporary passes onto base (obtained by going through the vetting process) are permitted to drive themselves onto base.
