Andrew and I had known of each other for many years, but consider our story to have begun when a close friend, living overseas, returned to Tucson for a visit bringing us both together for his homecoming celebration. We spent that evening in conversation, but rarely spoke in the months to follow. We were both navigating difficult seasons of life, but never far from one's thoughts. We eventually reconnected not-so-coincidentally while on separate vacations in Puerto Penasco when Andrew ditched his friends to hangout with my parents and me. After that trip, Andrew finally mustered up the courage to ask me on a date and I'm so glad he did. What an adventure our journey has been! We've traveled to South Korea together to attend that same close friends wedding, gone camping in the blistering cold, rung in the New Year in Flagstaff, kept it weird in Austin, held a fake wedding as bridal models for our soon-to-be actual wedding venue, explored New York City, taken multiple trips back to Puerto Penasco, and most recently, Disneyland and California with Andrew's boys and his parents where he proposed at sunset on a private boat in Newport Harbor. Out of all of our adventures and my global travels for work, I've come to realize that my favorite place to be is wherever Andrew, Gavin and Lawson are. "I didn't know life could be like this. I didn't know someone like you existed" - These are the truths Andrew and I have told each other pretty much from the very beginning. It's a once in a lifetime kind of love, the kind that truly transforms you and challenges you to become the very best version of you for the sake of self and the other. We cannot wait to start our journey together as husband and wife and are so grateful to each of you for being a part of our road to happily ever after.
