On August 23, 2019 we were dropped off to start our freshman years of college at Virginia Tech. That night there was a carnival on campus as a part of Welcome Week for incoming freshman. We were both standing outside of Squires, the student center on campus, when our eyes first met. Amidst the crowd and the colorful lights of the ongoing festivities, we found each other. We went bowling and played card games that night with the friends we had made. The following week, we went to a picnic in Lane Stadium, had breakfast at D2, and attended a Cru large group meeting back in Squires. We officially started dating on September 2, 2019. We started our college careers together, not only discovering ourselves at this new time in our lives, but discovering who we were together as well. Now, as college graduates and forever Hokies, we are starting another chapter-- building our life together-- and we are so excited for all the new discoveries this life has in store for us.
