Our first dates in November 2017 consisted of chatting in in Bryant Park, visiting the Guggenheim Museum, and then spending the entire day together at the New York Botanical Garden enjoying the holiday train show.

The first hike we did together was the grueling 23-mile Presidential Traverse in the White Mountains of Vermont. Both of us had attempted it unsuccessfully with other hiking groups years before, but together we made it! Since then, we've hiked trails in Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, Acadia, and other smaller parks. We moved in together in the Upper West Side in the midst of the pandemic, during which we passed the time by biking around NYC, cooking at home, playing board games (especially backgammon), and learning how to do crosswords.

On June 26, 2021, after a short hike above the clouds, we were engaged on Mount Tamalpais, CA.
