Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is expected to begin around 5:00 PM but since we're getting married on a Friday, please factor in rush hour traffic when planning your travel. If you're joining us at the hotel, check-in is at 3 PM, which should give you a comfortable buffer. Shuttles will take you from the hotel to the venue. Rides will begin promptly at 4pm. The last shuttle will depart at 4:15pm.

Where is the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

We have the entire Rock Island Lake Club to ourselves which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces. The plan is for the ceremony to be outside so keep that in mind. A light wrap or jacket is a great idea if you tend to run cold, especially as the evening sets in.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. Tuxes, gowns, suites and formal midi dresses are all welcome!

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, however our wedding will be an adults only event (with the exception of our flower girl and ring bearers). Thank you for understanding!

Do you have a room block reserved?

Answer

There is a room block available at the Courtyard Marriott hotel. Please see "stay" tab for all hotel information.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Transportation to the venue will be provided from the Courtyard by Marriott. Rides will begin promptly at 4pm. The last shuttle will depart at 4:15pm. Return shuttles will be provided from the venue back to the hotel following the reception. Ubers are not easy to come by so please plan accordingly.

Is there parking at the venue?

Free parking is available at Rock Island Lake Club for those who opt to drive in lieu of taking the provided shuttles.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

Yes, guests are welcome to continue the party with us back at the Courtyard Marriott. We will have the bar open until 2am.
