The Vulcan

The Vulcan is a small history museum on the steel industry in Birmingham. At the Vulcan Statue, you will find the largest cast iron statue in the world, and the city symbol of Birmingham. Guests are welcome to ride an elevator to the top of the statue and and enjoy the views of downtown Birmingham.

Ruffner Mountain

This is one of our favorite hikes in Birmingham (Chipper included). Enjoy the Quarry Trail (1.2 miles one way) to a beautiful overlook of Birmingham.

Railroad Park Foundation

Railroad park is located in the downtown area across from one of our favorite restaurants, Mile End Deli. It’s full of paved walking paths, multiple playgrounds, and group workouts.
