The short story: Megan and Steve happened to both be at Tin Roof, a live-music bar, back to back Friday and Saturday nights in June 2018. Megan was the first one on the dance floor Friday night, and Steve took that as his opportunity to make his move. After talking for hours both nights, Steve finally got Megan's number and the rest is history. The long story: Flash back to August 2016, Megan was trying to adjust to life after college as a newly licensed pharmacist and Steve was not yet closing real estate deals, working in Quality Control at VC Summer nuclear site. Megan's best friend and roommate, Lauren, went on a date with a guy named Chad, and invited her to come on their second date in an attempt to make friends since most of their friends had moved out of Columbia. Little did we know at the time, Chad and Steve were also roommates. After Megan crashed their second date, Chad called Steve and told him he met a girl that Steve needed to meet. Steve DM'd Megan on social media (see photo below) to meet up for a drink, but the timing wasn't right and that drink didn't happen until 2 years later when they reconnected at Tin Roof (see short story).
