Question

Will the elevation affect me?

Answer

If you are coming from any where outside of Colorado, most likely the elevation will have an affect on you! Buena Vista sits at around 8,000 ft elevation. A few things to keep in mind, HYDRATE!!! Make sure you are being mindful of staying hydrated while you are here, and hydrating the week before you come out. Altitude sickness is real as your body will be adjusting to the lower oxygen levels at this elevation. The best thing to do is to stay hydrated. We want everyone to have the best time and enjoy Buena Vista so please be mindful of the altitude. They also say one drink in high elevation is two at sea level. We absolutely are going to have drinks flowing as we celebrate, but again want to make sure that everyone is feeling their best so we can party all weekend! Make sure you drink a lot of water - we cannot stress this enough.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be indoors. It can get chilly quick when the sun goes down in Colorado so it's always a good idea to bring a layer.

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests that are formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you have a plus one, they will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP!

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

While there are some airports closer to Buena Vista, they are typically more expensive and harder to fly into. Denver International Airport (DIA) is about a 2.5 hour drive and Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a 2 hour drive.

Is there transportation to Buena Vista?

Answer

Since there are guests traveling in from all over the country, we are not providing transportation to Buena Vista. However, if you are wanting to carpool, we can connect you with other guests to split the cost of transportation.
