They met at a mutual friends house (shout out to the Janes family!) their junior year of high school. They went to different high schools, but remained friends after first meeting. About a year later, Pat found himself needing a prom date and surprised Madi at her work to ask her!

After starting college at Western Michigan University, Pat and Madi grew close and started spending more time together. Pat invited Madi to go ice skating in between their classes and officially asked her to be his girlfriend. On the day of the wedding, Pat and Madi will have been dating just shy of 11 years!

While visiting family in Buffalo, New York (Madi's favorite place), Pat suggested they spend a few hours downtown at Canalside. To Madi's surprise, Pat got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. They returned to a house full of family to celebrate with!
