Once upon a time, I (Becky) turned 21 (let's pretend it was only a couple of years ago). I finally got to start going to the bars with my sister, Margi. Her and her friends had a Cheers-like situation at a local bar, Lassen's. At one of our weekend outings, Margi introduced me to her friend Jeff. The night ended, and I remember asking her, "What was your friend's name? The one that looks like Vinny from Jersey Shore?" And I wish I can say the rest was history, but alas we have to fast forward about 5 years. Jeff and I had seen each other in passing as my sister would come home from California to visit and everyone needed to spend some time with her. But in May 2022, I found myself sitting across from Jeff at Thornton Distillery during one of her visits and spent the whole night talking. Nope, still not a happily ever after. I went home that night and drove back to my little spot in Michigan and spent the next few months trying to figure out how to get his number or reach out to him without letting Margi know. Jeff has no social media, so I was out of luck. Around August, I finally asked Margi if her friend Jeff was still single, and he was. She arranged a "hangout" which really turned into a double date during her next visit that October. We're almost there...kudos to making it this far. At the end of that weekend, I went on a walk with Margi, Domenic, and Beesly, and I said "Mark the day, October 16th, 2022, I'm going to marry Jeff." Putting that into the universe, my manifestation has come true. After about 2 1/2 years together, Jeff proposed on April 13th, 2025. Now we can't wait to celebrate our official Happily Ever After with all of our family and friends on April 4th, 2026!
