We’re calling it outdoor formal—fancy enough for a celebration, but comfortable enough to enjoy being outside in Michigan at the end of September (which could mean hot or cold so pack layers). Think midi/long dresses or a fun jumpsuit. Heels, wedges, or dressy flats all work. A suit or dress pants with a blazer is perfect. A tie is totally welcome, but not a must—go with whatever feels sharp and comfortable. As for colors: there is no specific color theme for guests, but please avoid white (brides rules). Otherwise, feel free to play with rich fall tones—think deep reds, greens, golds, and other cozy autumn shades.
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event with the exception of those in the wedding. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
The ceremony & cocktail hour will be held outside (weather permitting), while the reception will take place indoors.
We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present while we say "I do". We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us and we promise to share our photos as soon as we receive them!
While there is no structured transportation to the venue, there is a free parking lot where guests can leave their cars overnight if needed. The parking lot is located at the bottom of a large staircase and driveway leading up to the venue. We will also have a golf cart accessible for those who need assistance getting from the parking lot to the main event space.
