Where exactly is the DC War Memorial in the National Mall?

Answer

The DC War Memorial is located right off of Independence Ave SW in the Ash Woods across the street from the Martin Luther King Memorial. A photo of the memorial is on the schedule page. You will be able to see the memorial from Independence Ave SW. Please note, there is no parking on Independence Avenue.

Where can I park?

Answer

Again, we highly recommend that you use uber, lyft or taxi for travel/transportation as parking in the city can be a bit complicated. Public transportation in the city is great too, but it may not be the best option for the day of the wedding. Unless you want to get a couple of steps in on your pedometer. For the ceremony, you can park on West Basin Dr. SW or Ohio Dr. SW. Both areas have street parking. You can also park in a parking lot by the Floral Library right off of Independence Ave SW and Maine Ave. You will probably have a better chance parking in this parking lot. It is a 5-minute walk to the ceremony location. For the restaurant, you may be able to find street parking on Maine Ave SW. However, there are plenty of parking garages next to the restaurant. Parking in the garage may cost anywhere between $6-$39.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The bride and groom will be staying at Cambria Hotel Washington DC Navy Yard Riverfront. If you want to stay more into the city, we also recommend Yours Truly DC.

What are the closest airports to DC?

Answer

DCA/Ronald Regan Washington National Airport is a 15-minute drive from the DC proper. BWI/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is 51 minutes away from DC. IAD/Dulles International Airport is 30 minutes away from the DC.

Can we invite other guests or bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are having a very intimate wedding/dinner with our closest friends and family. Due to the size of our reception venue, we are only able to accommodate guests who have already confirmed their attendance with bride and groom by May 1, 2024.
