Becoming Campbell

#byebyebaber

Parker and I met the old fashion way - on Tinder. He was so sweet and charming. He asked me out to Whiskey Cake for brunch, and I accepted because I was too cheap to take me self there, ha! We had a great meal and then spent the whole rest of the day together; at the end of the night he asked if I would be his girlfriend, I agreed and it was the best decision I have ever made!

The Proposal

What is happening!?

Parker loves to tell the story of our his proposal because it is definitely an entertaining one. Parker had been talking with our friends Jenn and Danny about how to pop the question and they decided that he was going to send me on a scavenger hunt all around La Cantera (because that’s where we had our first date). Here’s where it gets entertaining: the night before Parker went ring shopping, I had a dream he sent me on a wild scavenger hunt and in the morning I woke up and told him “I dreamt you sent me on a scavenger hunt, which is funny because I don’t like scavenger hunts”. Later that day, Jenn and Danny picked Parker up to go ring shopping, and yes I totally knew what they were doing. Later that day Parker called me and said he couldn’t find anything but to get dressed because the four of us were going to go to dinner. I am going to be honest and say that I totally protested going to dinner - I was tired and not feeling well and just wanted to stay home but Parker had my sister in on it, and Sarah convinced me to get dressed and go. We went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, because it’s my favorite, and while we were looking over the menus Parker started talking about how much he loved me and how I was his best friend (I didn’t realize he was giving a speech because he is always sweet and tells me these things all the time) and then he said “you’re the little girl” and I said “what do you mean I’m a little girl?” and then he told me to stop talking and said “you’re the little girl from Texas that I talk to my mom about”, which is a line from my favorite Pierce The Veil song, and he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him! I immediately said yes and I still can’t believe I am getting to marry this wonderful man!
