PLEASE NOTE OUR CHANGE IN VENUE

Kourtney and Potter both went to ETSU and met early summer of 2014. Their friend groups merged and they immediately bonded over their love for God, Tennessee football (Go Vols), Big Brother, Friends, Games of Thrones, and golf. They were best friends for months and everyone knew they were in love except themselves. Eventually Potter stepped up and asked Kourtney to be his girlfriend on March 8, 2015 and the rest is history.

Potter planned the engagement for months. He meticulously searched for the right ring and eventually found what he thought would be perfect. He worked with Kourtney's friend, Kara, to plan the perfect surprise. They decided to contact a photographer and ask her if she would host a "free photoshoot giveaway" on Instagram and pick Kourtney as the winner. While on a family cruise, Kourtney won the photoshoot giveaway and the date was set for two weeks later on October 14th, 2019. Potter was so nervous he literally did not speak to Kourtney for a week before the proposal. After work on that Monday evening, right at sunset, they went to The Beauty Spot in Erwin, TN. During the photoshoot he popped the question and she said, "Yessssss!" After the photoshoot they went to the Tap Room and enjoyed a private dinner surrounded by decorations and pictures from throughout the course of their relationship. Kourtney was completely surprised and it was such a success!
