We met at a local country bar, 8 Seconds Saloon. Kyle walked over to me and we started talking. We talked for about an hour and we both parted ways. The second time we met was also at 8 Seconds, which was really just a "hey how are you," by Kyle. I didn't pay much attention to him and the night went on with each of our friends. By surprise, we met a 3rd time at 8 Seconds. Kyle's friend suggested that they come talk to myself and my friend. Kyle was reluctant. They came over to our table and the conversation started. We talked about everything from our pasts to the headlight going out in my car. He asked me to be his girlfriend in May of 2015. Kyle has been a fantastic role model for my son Alexzander. The bond they have is more than I could have ever imagined. They kick me out of the house so they can have guys night! Let's fast forward to summer of 2018! We are very involved with Alexzander's baseball league. During the summer we spend majority of our time at the ball diamonds. Pause... For those of you that don't know my background with baseball... I was hit in the head by a home run ball at a minor league game when I was 9. My skull was shattered and I had a blood clot on my brain. Let's just say baseball is not my favorite sport. ...Back to summer of 2018, specifically August 5! We went to the ball diamonds for the last All-Star tournament. Kyle, coaches, and all of the kids were out on the field warming up. Alexzander came over to me and said "mom Kyle needs you for something." He took my hand and walked me out to the field. All of the kids were in a huddle shouting "What time is it? Kourtney's time!" Coach Jon shouts, "Move, move move!" All of the kids dispersed and Kyle was in the middle, down on one knee on 3rd base. I was in shock! Kyle managed to squeeze out 3 sentences, "The worst day of your life happened on a baseball field. I hope to make the best day of your life happen on a baseball field. Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes!!!
