Fly into LAX // SBA directly // SBP LAX is about 1.5-2 hours drive away from Santa Barbara (traffic dependent). The drive is beautiful! You can take the Pacific Coast Highway from Santa Monica and be on the coast for the majority of the time. SBP (San Luis Obispo Airport) is 1.5 hour drive away from Santa Barbara - you will miss the LA traffic driving down from here!
