FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for locating the venue, parking and making your way to the ceremony location.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re aiming for dressy casual / garden party attire. We’ll be outside on grass for the ceremony and will have outdoor activities and dancing, so we encourage outfits that are comfortable, weather-appropriate, and easy to move in, while still feeling polished and special. Think: Flowy or midi dresses, jumpsuits, skirts, or dressy separates Button-downs, slacks, chinos, or relaxed suits Layers like sweaters, blazers, or jackets for cooler October weather We recommend avoiding stilettos or anything uncomfortable for grass. Most importantly, please wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our plan is to host the ceremony outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be hosted inside the barn.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding will be child-friendly, and we’re happy to celebrate with your little ones. Please be sure to include children in your RSVP. As the event takes place on a property with a lake, we kindly ask that children are supervised by an attending adult at all times for everyone’s safety.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar serving beer and wine. Please note that the venue does not allow hard alcohol or any outside alcohol to be brought in.

Question

Answer

Parking will be available on-site at the venue. We encourage guests to plan ahead and choose safe transportation if they plan to enjoy the open bar — consider carpooling, rideshares, or a designated driver. Your safety is our priority, and we want everyone to have a fun and worry-free celebration!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and enjoy the moment with us. All guests will be asked to turn their mobile devices off for the full duration of the ceremony.
