We actually met for the first time in high school, Paul being just a couple grades older than Ellen! After having several mutual friends in common over the years, we finally bumped into each other one night at a local bar in Old Town Orange. Our friend (and now Officiant) Grant, saw us talking and took it upon himself to give us a little extra nudge. He asked if he could practice his speech for the wedding he would be officiating soon, and we said, "Sure!" We jokingly exchanged rings, and the rest is history! Well for a short time anyway... We lost touch a few weeks later when Paul moved from CA to coach baseball in Missouri for the summer. Then just like that, a year had passed and Paul was back home in CA - for good! He asked Ellen if he could take her to dinner and a movie to catch up, and she said yes! After that, the rest really IS history! A few years, puppies, and states (we relocated to Denver, CO 2 years ago) later, and we're more excited than ever for this next chapter of our lives! A special thanks to all of you for being there and supporting us along the way, and now cheers to celebrating our wedding!

A couple days before Christmas, during a quick stay-cation in Downtown Denver, we headed out for a nice night out - something we hadn't had in a long time due to very busy schedules! Paul took me to a rooftop next to our hotel to watch the sunset before heading to dinner. Once we found a good spot to watch the sunset, Paul pulled me towards him, and then I forgot everything after that! Kidding! It was an exciting blur of hugs, kisses, and tears, but luckily some of our closest friends were hiding nearby to capture it all on camera so we could relive it as often as we want! It was the most special moment in our lives, and we're so excited for all that is to follow!
