Some love stories begin with a spark. Ours began long before either of us even realized it. Long before we ever went on a date, our lives were already connected in ways we didn’t even realize. We grew up in the same neighborhood, our paths crossing countless times without knowing what the future had in store. Even our families were connected—our moms worked together at the same elementary school for years, unknowingly helping bring our story together. Family has always been one of the most important parts of our lives. Jennifer grew up with twin siblings, her grandmother was a twin, and Matthew’s father is a twin as well. Looking back, it feels like a reminder that some things are simply meant to be. When Matthew finally asked Jennifer on a date, it felt easy from the very beginning. Our first date at the zoo was full of laughter, getting to know each other, and realizing how much we had in common. From that day on, being together just felt right. Not long after, Jennifer moved in with Matthew, and everyday life quickly became our favorite adventure. Whether it was quiet nights at home, laughing until our stomachs hurt, fishing together, or spending time with family, we learned that the best parts of life are often the simplest ones. Then came the moment that would change everything. April 30th, 2025… On a beautiful Florida evening, Matthew surprised Jennifer with a special search that led her to a message in a bottle. Inside was a handwritten letter comparing life’s journey to the ocean—filled with sunny days, storms, calm waters, and unexpected turns. The letter spoke about facing every season of life together and ended with a promise that no matter what the tides may bring, he wanted to be by her side through it all. As Jennifer reached the final words of the letter, which Matthew had her read aloud, he got down on one knee. With the sun melting into the ocean behind them, happy tears in her eyes, and a very excited heart, she said YES. Today, we’re so grateful for the life we’ve built together so far, our incredible families and friends, and our two spoiled kittens, Pebbles and Dune, who make every day a little more fun. What started as two kids growing up in the same neighborhood became a friendship, a love story, and now a forever. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of the people we love most as we begin our greatest adventure yet as husband & wife ❤️
