How We Met

October 3, 2011- A complicated beginning, but a perfect ending.

Michael attended Alfred State College with my cousin, Mike. Fast forward past their graduation they remained friends. While they were out for drinks, Mike showed him my picture, but did not give my name or number. Afterwards my cousin texted me that "there was this great guy named Michael I would like", but then didn't answer my texts, give me his full name, or even a phone number! I thought that was the end of that until my cousin was out with Michael on another occasion. After they departed ways Mike invited me and some friends over to his place. When I arrive our friend Jim say's "check this guy out on facebook, his name is Mike Koshinsky". Mike states, that's the guy I texted you about, I was with him earlier! I reply along the lines of "and you didn't invite him over? why?". Now that I had a picture and last name I friend requested Michael. Michael responded instantly and sent me a fb message asking if I was by chance Mike's cousin because i looked like the girl in the picture. Conversations went great and he said he wanted to meet in person, I invited him to the bar I was a bartender at. Honestly I was so nervous, and half expected him not to show up! True to his word he showed up, "all I had to do was put a drink in his hand" and he was hooked. Now he calls me his "crazy girl, and tells me all the time.. don't you know that I love you?"

The Proposal

December 4, 2016 - K-i-s-s-i-n-g, first comes love, then comes marriage

Mike and I had our first kiss at Chestnut Ridge Park. We sat on top of the toboggan slide watching the sunset together and then we kissed, it was perfect. Fast forward...a...really....longgggg...time. He mentions he would like some nice professional photographs to hang in our new home. I make a call to my friend, Kirsten and ask her if she will be our photographer. We decide to do outdoor photos because the leaves were changing colors and it was very pretty. The most obvious place we could think of was Chestnut Ridge Park. During the photo session we went to the top of a toboggan slide for pictures. I led the way all the while Mike is behind me holding the ring box behind his back. My friend is trying to give me directions to "position for the photo" and as I turn Mike is on one knee and proposes! Mike was trembling like a leaf and I started to cry, but of course I said YES! Having the entire memory photographed made it so special and perfect. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter with you!
