"I know you feel lost but if you let me be your friend I'll find you. Then we can be lost together." With those words I knew Karen was going to become more than my college roommate, but I was not ready for the outpouring of Karen's love. Her love is like the sun. It makes you warm and comfortable. It brightens your day. It is constant. It never dies. Karen has loved me through my triumphs. She has loved me through heartbreak and sorrow. Her friendship means more to me than she will ever know. Karen has lived up to her promise. She did find find me. When she did, she held on tight. She's been holding onto me ever since. Now, it is my turn to hold onto her while she begins this beautiful journey with the man she loves more than life itself.
Maid of Honor
It was on the Policy trip to DC, I realized that God had blessed me with a one-in-a-million friend in you! From this very moment I knew you were one of the rarest gems on earth. Friends like you don't come around very often. When they do, it's simply amazing! You're real & that rare nowadays. Yet, I'm blessed to have that in our friendship! We have shared so many heart to heart talks, come to Jesus talks, laughs for days, cries, giggles, foodie moments & many more! I cannot wait to continue building onto our fran-ship! Words cannot even begin to express or capture the depth of love and appreciation I have for you. Our sister/fran-ship has grown so much and I'm forever thankful to God that He crossed our paths! It is an absolutely honor to be with you on your special day! Love you, Otter!

“I’m your favorite cousin lol.” Tatiana is Karen’s baby cousin but they are more like sisters. They grew up together and even lived together at one point. Through countless sleepovers, spending every holiday together and family drama. Dealing with first Boyfriends, first loves and first heartbreak. Dealing with distance but nothing can break the bond of these two cousin.

Karen and I met at work in Fort Worth, Texas; our first interaction involved a lot of motivating and inspirational words sprinkled with a few cuss words here and there. Our many cubicle dances, failed attempts on my part to stop laughing at her mini jogs on the trails and Zumba moves strengthened our resolve to fight the many worldly injustices. She is so caring, so fierce and so unapologetic about what she wants and how to get it! She has perfect curls and style! I love her, she's my firecracker friend for life! We have shared our vulnerabilities with each other, our struggles with faith and what we deserve from our lives. It is truly an honor to be her friend!

"To my closest and longest friend. The person who knows everything about me. From heartache as children to growing up and being engaged! Honest, hard working and the most loving human I know. We grew up together and I am forever grateful for our friendship!"

Being both from the DMV it was only logical that Karen and I will meet in…TN! From that moment on we have followed each other throughout the country and now we end up in California. You have seen me at my worst and you have seen me at my best. Through it all you have stayed your amazing, badass, loving, and caring self and I am so lucky I get to call you my friend. I am so excited that you have found the person you want to spend forever with in Jose and I feel so incredibly happy to be a witness of your immense love for each other. I love you alway and I hope life continues to bring us together because God knows you are someone that brings endless joy to my life. Love - Martha
Best Man
Two brothers can meet and become the best of friends through their shard love for Pokemon. Jose is the perfect example. Back in the early days of High School we would discuss all things; our favorite movies, television shows, cartoons and stayed up plenty of nights playing video games until the sun came up. Any chance there were chips and salsa around the house, he would be set for hours of conversation. Our collective group of nerdy teenagers friends would walk to each others house and spend hours talking, arguing, laughing, and making life-time friendships I still hold dear to this day. Even after Jose left the state for college to pursue his passions, he's made every effort to keep us together and in contact, refusing to let the distance break apart our friendship. Love you, buddy!
Groomsman
Jose and I have known each other across many timelines and realities. Misery loves company, after all. But in this one...Misery has found love, and the company is just content watching from afar. Telling their story; one full of HIGH FRUCTOSE and brotherly coffins; turning pages doused in magic and wonder until there are no more pages left. ~takes a long drag and exhales~ Yea, this one will do.
Groomsman
Jose and I met when he was being mugged on the side of the road. I saw him struggling to fight off the band of rouge Girl Scouts. I pulled over and gave him a hand by distracting them with cookies I kept in my glove box. He thanked me by taking me to get a burger. Since then we have been the best of friends. I'm happy he found someone who can stand by his side and help him fight anything that comes his way.
Groomsman
I can't believe Jose is engaged! We have been friends since high school when we both had to retake Spanish 1. Mrs. White was not too happy with seeing our faces again. At least something good came out of it!
Groomsman
Richard Aldridge fought with Jose in the trenches of the great Brock wars of 2013(ish). Battle scared and thoroughly tested, they managed to turn the tide of battle, and reign victorious. Legends say the bearded bandit resides amongst the northern frigid peaks to this day. He's gonna be at the wedding though.

I'm not too sure how Jose and I started to become friends, but we had many similar interests While at Southern. We both were in the Art Department, Brock Hall, so like a few of his other friends, we become a close-knit group, joking about movies, games, anime and especially each other. I've always looked up to Jose's creativity and passion for anything he does, from his storytelling to our random conversations while he's driving home from work. I know we'll be friends for life and I'm looking forward to my two good friends getting married!

It all started when I was still in nursing school and I would visit brock only because T'andre practically lived there. On this day I was sitting next to Jose and t'andre. T'andre: Ashley don't you have a test tomorrow? Wake up and study.Me: I'm just so tired I feel so drained. Out of nowhere and never spoke to him while I had been visiting all the time mind you. Jose: I too have had my soul drained by this leech they call a Christian Institution. Me:....He Continues, Jose: our only hope is to venture on in hope of finishing this tiresome journey to doom! Me: per que?! Dani: just ignore him. He hasn't slept in days. Jose: I have forgot what sleep feels like. T'andre: shakes head and laughs. Jose: oh, I'm jose by the way.SINCE T'ANDRE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO INTRODUCE ANYONE. Me: que?!

I’ve had the honor and privilege of experiencing, from close and afar, your transition into a wiser, found, hopeful, still hopeless romantic, little Karen. Still tiny, cute, brown, big smile, but now that huge loving heart is mostly healed. I think this says it all about the bond, care and trust we developed over the years. I remember, long ago, that young little Karen wanting my approval of her future significant other and her wish for me to marry them. For the record, I approve of Jose. I may not be officially marrying you, as God is responsible for that, but this is as close and amazing as it can be.
