...no really, Cheyenne was dressed as an astronaut. Here’s the story: It all started in the most unexpected place—work. Kory was a vendor at Cheyenne’s office, where the security system always seemed to mysteriously malfunction. Every couple of weeks, he’d come by to fix the issue. On Halloween 2020, fate gave them a memorable introduction. Kory was “working” in the office, chatting with Cheyenne’s boss when he was offered a box of cheap beer. Trying to make an impression, Kory quipped, “I’ll only drink this if she drinks it with me.” Her boss laughed, “She doesn’t drink beer… she likes cocktails.” Not satisfied with that answer, Kory turned to Cheyenne and said, “Then let’s go get a drink.” Cheyenne, in her oversized, puffy astronaut costume, just laughed it off. But as he was leaving, Kory boldly asked for her number—and to his surprise, she gave it to him. Their first date followed on November 6th. Cheyenne, however, didn’t realize it was a date. So when Kory showed up with the largest bouquet of red roses she had ever seen, she was caught completely off guard. They enjoyed a lovely dinner on a terrace in Denver, with a stunning mountain view at sunset. Afterward, they wandered into Target to kill time and look for another place for drinks, and at that moment, Cheyenne was sold. Fast forward to January 6th, 2024: Kory proposed under a beautifully lit bridge in downtown Colorado Springs, sealing the next chapter of their adventure. Over the years, they’ve grown to love one another deeply. Known for hosting lively gatherings and exploring new restaurants and bars, they also share a passion for art. Together, they’ve started collecting unique pieces—from paintings and pottery to sculptures—turning this shared interest into one of their favorite pastimes. On June 26, 2025, surrounded by their closest family and friends, Cheyenne and Kory will recite their vows and begin the next chapter of their lives together. The day will be a celebration of the journey that brought them here—from the chance encounters at work between a guy and an astronaut, to the unforgettable first date, and all the shared memories in between. Their wedding will be the culmination of the love and laughter they’ve built over the years, marking the start of a lifetime filled with even more adventures, shared passions, and new memories. With each other’s love and support, they are ready to take this next step together, forever. As if it truly was a love written in the stars.
