We met at work in October 2013, partly because we sat in the same pod together. It all started with a question about a DC rectifier. That question was soon followed by Kory sitting on Amber's desk singing silly songs to her and explaining the fundamentals of how transformers worked. Battery back-UPS and technology brought us together...

It was a beautiful and blustery day in Iceland. We were traveling around the southern coast of Iceland with Kory's sister Liv and her boyfriend Scott. We stopped to hike up Hjörleifshöfði to see the first viking settlement of Iceland. It was there on top of the mountain, I was looking at some rocks, when Kory said "Oh those are nice rocks, but I have a better rock." He got down on one knee and opened the box only to have the ring go flying through the air and into the moss. Of course I said yes, with tears freezing to my face from the strong winds on top of the mountain. It could not have been a more perfect moment.
