In May of 2019, Kortney was finishing up her undergraduate degree at San Diego State University and working at the happiest place on earth. Meanwhile, Rob was living in Pasadena. Seeing as they were living over 150 miles apart, their lives most likely wouldn't have crossed paths... However after being in the dating game for several years, and realizing their "happily ever after" wasn't awaiting them at a bar, work, or through mutual friends, a stroke of luck happened, or should we say a "swipe" of luck. After downloading Hinge, a popular dating app in Southern California, and attending countless, (& they really mean countless) dates, Rob and Kortney mutually 'matched' and just two weeks later they met for sushi and plum wine, and the rest is history.
