It was New Year’s Eve and Bradley told Kortney in advance that he had a late Christmas gift for her. Bradley woke up extra early with excitement and anticipation for the big day. Kortney, having worked the night before and the morning of the proposal, slept in until mid-afternoon so she could be well-rested and ready for whatever he had planned. Bradley showed up at her apartment and told her despite the fact that it was heavily raining, they were going to have a fun photoshoot. Luckily, Kortney was game and they drove to the Dallas Arboretum where they met their photographer. After a few failed attempts at finding where Bradley had reserved the private area for the proposal, he led Kortney down the stairs leading them to a fountain. He got down on one knee and she begin crying with happiness as she said yes. She was so caught up in the moment, she didn’t even notice many of their friends and family walking out from behind the bushes to celebrate with them, umbrellas and all! The rain could have put a damper on the day, but it was a perfect example of Bradley and Kortney’s relationship. Regardless of what life throws at them, they rise to the occasion together, splashing through the puddles along the way. P.S. Kortney had ZERO suspicions that Bradley was going to propose that day because he planned everything out so ingeniously… according to him.
