It started with Alex wanting to give me a tour of Richardson. Of course, I had grown up in the Dallas area and knew a little about Richardson already, but it was sweet. It was my first time visiting him in his home, but when I arrived we immediately got into his truck to go on the "tour.” He asked me if it was okay if we made a quick stop to pick up a game he ordered from Game Stop; I thought it was silly, but he is silly and of course I love him for that. Rather than go into Game Stop with him, I opted to wait in the car to text my mom and Alyssa to tell them about this goofy boy. He jumps back in the truck with his new Pokémon game and we set off, driving around for a little bit and seeing the sights before deciding to grab dinner. He took me to Afrah, a Mediterranean restaurant, where I learned I am just not a fan of falafel. Luckily he ordered something with fries and was kind enough to share them with me. After dinner we drive around some more and our conversation naturally turns to candy bars. I found out he’d never eaten a Whatchamacallit, which is obviously unacceptable, so we stop at a nearby Racetrack to rectify this immediately. Despite my insistence that Whatchamacallits are superior, Alex still ended up with a Milky Way. Our last stop was Cottonwood Park, a place that will forever hold special meaning. We sat and ate our candy bars as the sun fell, and when we finish he suggested we take a leisurely stroll around the darkened park. It was cold, but I was so happy to be there with him that I didn’t even feel it. He walked me to the bridge, and as we stood there together facing each other I could tell he wanted to kiss me – but he was interrupted by a cute Golden Retriever! Of course I get distracted and pet the dog, because needs, but after the commotion dies down and the canine distraction is over, Alex kissed me, and it was my favorite kiss I have ever had.
