After matching on a dating app in June of 2021, we decided to meet up at The Factory in Franklin to get ice cream and walk at the park across the street. It was a very casual laid back date where Danny asked lots of questions and Korrie did most of the talking:) we both left the date having had a good time and excited at the possibility of seeing each other again. However, we both had trips planned soon after that made so we wouldn’t even have the chance to see each other again for another month!

We stayed in touch over the next several weeks and when we were both finally back in town we planned another date! At this point, Danny was living in Clarksville during the weeks (about an hour north of Nashville) but would come down and spend weekends in his East Nashville house. This made week-day hangouts pretty rare but we made a point to hang out on the weekends and a few days after our second date I got a text from Danny asking if I wanted to go to a Garth Brooks concert. That’s when I knew I liked this guy;) Despite the fact that it downpoured before Garth came out (and the thunder rolled and the lightning did strike) that was the first of many shared concert experiences— one of the many pastimes we enjoy together!

On September 19 of 2021, Danny made it official by asking me to be his girlfriend! That was my first yes to him, and the second came on February 23, 2024. After a late Valentine's celebration dinner in Downtown Franklin, we made a "pitstop" to Jeni's Ice Cream-- the same place we got ice cream on our first date! We grabbed our scoops and I followed Danny outside to some benches (that I later learned he had scouted out earlier in the day) where we sat to eat our dessert, or so I thought.... instead he pulled out a card and and as I read it he got down on one knee and popped the question! I was pretty much as surprised as I could be at that point and the night was better than I could have imagined! So many of you have played important roles in our lives individually and as a couple and we are SO excited to celebrate our love with all of our favorite people on November 9th!!
