Meeting through the app Tinder, neither of us had big expectations going into our first date. The dinner even ended in the, now famous, side hug. However, it soon became clear that this relationship was special. With one of us in Illinois and the other in Iowa, our milage quickly added up. Being separated didn't seem like much of an option to us and Sam decided to move to Illinois only 3 months in. We quickly decided the 15-minute drive was STILL too far and moved into our first home shortly after we had both began new teaching jobs. We lived the normal, boring life for about 5 more months when we decided we wanted to add a little one to the group. We applied for foster care and the process began to go much quicker than expected. At month 9, there was no denying we were never letting go of this amazing little life we had created together. We picked out our rings (because, as you all know, we are WAY too picky to have someone else choose for us) and Korri proposed during a surprise photo shoot. Although our story may move quickly, the only thing we would change is finding each other sooner.
