Our wedding and reception is Black tie optional, though formal attire will be required. For women, some options would include floor length gowns, fancy cocktail dresses, or dressy pantsuits/jumpsuits. For men, a formal suit and tie/bow tie. Allison's bridal party will be dressed in emerald green gowns!
If your invitation indicates a "guest" please do! Otherwise please bring your self and your dancing shoes!
Only invitations addressed to "& Family" are encouraged to bring their children to our big day. Otherwise, all other invitations will indicate specific guests invited to attend.
Our wedding ceremony is being held at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, thus making this a primarily Orthodox ceremony. However, Allison and James will have a Catholic priest present and participating in the services to honor Allison's faith and also bless their marriage in the Catholic Church.
A Koumbara is the Greek equivalent of a marriage sponsor and this person participates in the wedding rituals during the ceremony along side the couple. This person becomes family going forward and becomes an integral part of the couples lives in the future. Maria Gagas is our koumbara and we are honored to have her with us for our wedding day and going forward in our lives.
There will be a formal invitation to come in the next few months with RSVP instructions. If you’re certain you will be unable to attend on February 21st, however, we would appreciate those who let us know in advance. You can email allisonnkorn@gmail.com, or feel free to reach out by phone to Allison or James. While we hope to see everyone in February, we do understand there may be circumstances preventing some guests from attending. We sincerely hope you all can attend!
