Our journey began in 2009 at Sam Houston State University, where a simple geology class brought us together. Austin sat in front of Wendy, and what started as a casual friendship quickly became something special. We spent hours together—laughing over Taco Bell, playing video games, and making memories at a sushi rolling class. From the beginning, it just felt easy—natural. But life had other plans. Austin left school to join the Army, and we drifted apart, staying in touch here and there. Then in 2014, we reconnected—and everything clicked. It was as if no time had passed, and our bond was stronger than ever. For a while, we made long-distance work, until Wendy took a leap of faith and moved to Denton. Austin welcomed her (and her beloved dachshund, Scarlett) with open arms. What was supposed to be a temporary arrangement quickly turned into a shared life—because when the time came to move out, Austin simply said, “I don’t want you to leave.” Seven years later, we've built a home filled with love, laughter, and late-night takeout. Now, we’re ready to begin our next chapter—hand in hand, as husband and wife.
