At the end of the summer of 2023, two paths crossed in Door County. Korie was visiting on a girls' trip and Rex was wrapping up his business before moving to Kohler to teach. From their very first conversation, it was clear they shared the same core values and beliefs— a deep love for God, family, and nature, with a passion for entrepreneurship. That first evening, Rex revealed his knack for building fires as they gathered around the campfire with friends. The warmth of the flames set the stage for an even warmer conversation and before long, a spark lit between them. By the end of the night, Rex had charmed Korie into a kiss goodbye. With only one day left before leaving town, Korie didn’t want to let the moment slip away. She asked to see Rex again, and that choice began a story both of them had been praying for. Since that weekend, they’ve spent only a handful apart. Through distance, career changes, and the challenges life brings, their love has only grown stronger. Today, they share a beautiful apartment with Korie’s beloved cat, Smokey. They look forward joyfully to the future they are building together.
