Let's Start our new Adventure...

At first, our worlds collided serendipitously but not necessarily in a good way. But in the end, a change of pace is exactly what we both needed and we got to a place where we could completely be ourselves together. We found that we balance each other out in all the right ways. We've established a foundation of faith in our relationship that has centered God as our source of strength through challenges and successes. Korie: When I met Nolan, I noticed his dimples and nice smile, he seemed like another smooth talker trying to pick me up at the gym. While I have to admit his suave and causal demeanor was attractive, it was his sweet and thoughtful side that really drew me in. He’s honest and humble, caring and kind, and has a strong faith. I can’t wait to see how our love grows. Nolan: The first time I saw Korie, I saw her beautiful curly hair and her Pepperdine sweater. I thought to myself "I hope she believes in Jesus." When I finally approached her we quickly became best friends and we have talked everyday since. The foundation we both have in Jesus Christ has allowed our love to flourish over these last two years.

We met at our local gym, Crunch Corona. We both worked out around the same time everyday for months before we actually met. Nolan decided the late evening of Friday, Feburary 26th, 2021 to approach me in the fitness room while I was doing my band warm up. After chatting and asking for my number that evening he texted me, "Hello, it's Nolan from the gym." I was originally at the gym taking a break from studying for my midterm exam. I told him I had an exam I was about to take and I would talk to him later. He didn't believe that I left the gym to take an exam on a Friday night at 8pm and thought I was probably uninterested. He was surprised once I responded back 3 hours later and we talked the rest of the night. Since Feburary 26, we have not went a day without a phone call, text, or seeing each other.

Our first date was at the Walmart Grocery Store after our gym date. Nolan shared his expertise on meal prep options. We both got our groceries for our week. Nolan advised on choosing 93-7% or 96-4% meat with rice. We bonded by talking about our workouts and hobbies.

Nolan organized a huge surprise engagement with our family and friends. Nolan's Best Man, Terry, was in town from Kansas. In order for me not to be suspicious, they planned to tell me that he was in town for an EXPO for work. I was told we were going to dinner to meet Terry's supervisor but we were stopping by Nolan's parents' house before. As we opened the front door, all our family and friends were waiting for us. Nolan got on one knee and asked the BIG question. Then, we had an engagement party to celebrate together!
