Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a shuttle that is going to be provided at both hotels, the Hilton Garden Inn and Country Inn & Suites to transport guests to and from the hotel to the wedding venue.

Yes, there is free parking at the venue with plenty of space.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, this is a formal event at a country club where guests are required to comply with the dress code. Men, please wear a suit and tie or dress pants and a sports coat, collared shirt. Women, please wear a formal dress or evening wear. Absolutely no blue jeans or denim!

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 pm on June 11th. We ask that all guests arrive 30-45 minutes prior to mingle and find a seat.

Are the ceremony and reception location handicap accessible?

Answer

Yes, it is completely handicap accessible.

Will this be an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes! An unplugged ceremony just means we prefer you to be present in the moment and not on your phones cameras, or other electronic devices. We know everyone is excited to share our marriage and capture the moment, but we have hired professionals to be there to take care of that. Please help us maintain the intimacy of the moment and allow our photography and videographer to capture our special day unobstructed. We are more than happy to provide guests with photos from the ceremony so you can help relive the moment. There will be plenty of time at the reception to take candid shots in the bride and groom!

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held indoors at the same venue. There is an open wrap-around patio if you need to step outside.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight to the main bar where they will be serving drinks (soft drinks, beer, wine, and hard liquor) and hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour. The outdoor patio will also be open for guests to mingle.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be an open bar for those 21+. All alcohol will be served by the bartenders on site. The bartenders reserve the right to request identification and/or refuse to service anyone at any time.

Can my dietary restrictions or allergies be accommodated during dinner?

Answer

Absolutely! When you submit your RSVP, you will be asked to add if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. As long as we are made aware in advance, our venue is more than happy to accommodate any restricted diets.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

A room block is available at the Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton and the Country Inn & Suites Valparaiso. You can view all the information regarding the hotel block in the 'Travel' tab of the website.

What time does the reception end?

Answer

11:30 p.m. After the reception, there will be a shuttle to take the guests back to the Hilton Garden Inn or Country Inn & Suites, depending on where you are staying.
