With each shared memory after graduation, we discovered how much we needed one another. During the peak of COVID, we found ourselves quarantining together. Those nights spent talking and laughing for hours revealed a beautiful comfort both of us had never known. We realized we never wanted to leave each other's side, and just a few months into dating, we shared that we loved each other. This past August, Mario surprised me in his backyard with our closest friends and family while he dropped down on one knee and asked me the biggest question of his life.
