**LINK TO LIVE STREAM OF WEDDING CEREMONY: evt.live/ashley-and-john-s-wedding-ceremony** Once upon a time, John and Ashley met on a dating app. She made him do a phone call through the app, he thought it was weird, she didn't. After confirming he probably wasn't a serial killer, Ashley agreed to John asking her out on a first date. They met at The Sherman in Sherman Oaks, CA. After scintillating conversation, and a post drinks stop at Dave's Hot Chicken, John walked Ashley to her car and asked for her number. As she said goodbye, Ashley realized she was not ready to date. John promptly texted that evening. She responded to John the following day wishing him well and honestly told him she did not want to waste his time. She bid him adieu. Seriously. Don't worry, John did not take no for an answer. Obviously. We're getting married, remember? After chasing her for two months, John took Ashley out again on what they call their now anniversary, at Castaway in Burbank, CA. They dressed up, had dinner, drinks, he gave her flowers, the whole 9 yards. They were hooked and have not turned back since. They never saw other people, were only interested in each other, and continued to see each other from that day forward. By that Christmas, 2022, John asked Ashley to officially be his girlfriend. They moved in together by October 2023, with the help of a few handy people, including the talented Mother and Father of the Bride. They also had help from their Other Mother, Nicky, who was entirely supportive. Living together went even better than not living together. The puzzle pieces continued to fit. By their next anniversary, John proposed. He took Ashley to the gardens they loved on one of their early dates. What she didn't realize was walking across the Japanese garden bridge would change their lives forever. And they had friends, whom they consider to be family, hiding, watching and recording the entire moment! On top of that a photographer sprang up from out of nowhere, documenting the whole thing! The tears were joyful and the love was bountiful. And here we are! Planning a wedding with all of our loved ones in the Church that just got consecrated, which both Ashley and John were present for. We feel very lucky you are here reading this and we can't wait to hopefully see you in October!
