Question

How do we get to Long Island from the airports?

Answer

The closest airports are MacArthur Airport (ISP) about 30 minutes away, JFK about 45 minutes, and LGA about an hour. We recommend renting a car or using a ride-share service!

Question

How far is Oheka Castle from Manhattan?

Answer

Plan on about an hour and fifteen minutes from Manhattan to Oheka Castle, but give yourself extra time on Sunday—Long Island traffic can be unpredictable! From our Saturday venue in the city, it's about 45 minutes to Huntington.

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes! Oheka Castle has complimentary valet parking. For Saturday's Welcome Toast at Maman King, we recommend using a car share service or taxi since parking can be tricky in that area. The Wall Street Hotel also offers valet services for Saturday night.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We've reserved room blocks at The Wall Street Hotel in NYC (perfect for Saturday's welcome event) and at Oheka Castle itself for Sunday's wedding. All the details and booking codes are on our Travel page! Please note that Oheka Castle is now fully booked.

Question

Are there other hotel options besides our room blocks?

Answer

Absolutely! While we highly recommend staying at our reserved blocks for the best experience, there are several other great options nearby. The Hampton Inn & Suites Huntington Downtown is only 9 minutes from Oheka Castle and features free breakfast and a beautiful historic setting. The Hilton Long Island/Huntington in Melville (about 5 miles away) offers pools, tennis, and shuttle service. We're happy to help you find the perfect accommodations for your needs and budget!

Question

What time should we arrive for the ceremony

Answer

Please arrive at Oheka Castle by 4:30pm sharp, where you'll be greeted with drinks and entertainment. All guests must be seated by 5:00pm as the ceremony will begin promptly at that time.

Question

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We'd love for you to be fully present during our vows, so we're asking for an unplugged ceremony—our photographer will capture every moment! Feel free to snap away during cocktail hour and the reception though.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

For Saturday's Welcome Toast, think garden party chic—sundresses, nice slacks with a button-down, or cocktail dresses work perfectly. Comfortable shoes are a must for the outdoor space! For Sunday's ceremony, we're going full glamour with black tie, so gentlemen in tuxedos and ladies in floor-length gowns, please.

Question

What about breakfast on Monday?

Answer

A complimentary breakfast will be provided on Monday, September 22 from 7:00am-10:30am for guests staying at Oheka Castle. For guests not staying at Oheka but who would like to attend the breakfast, please let us know 10 days before the wedding so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! If you need help finding a sitter, please let us know and we will provide you with recommendations.
